1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties:
- Account information. Your email address, display name, and authentication provider (Google or magic-link email) when you create an account.
- Birth-profile information. Your full name, date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. We use these to compute your astrological chart.
- Usage information. Questions you ask, conversations you have, and predictions you generate within the Service.
- Device & technical information. IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar technical attributes, collected automatically.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Compute your astrological chart and generate personalized readings, predictions, and compatibility reports.
- Authenticate your account and provide you with access to the Service.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including diagnosing technical issues.
- Communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
When you ask a question or request a reading, your structured chart data and your question are sent to a large-language-model provider for interpretation. We do not transmit your name, email, or any other directly identifying information alongside the chart data. The providers we use contractually agree not to use API inputs to train their models.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Cloud infrastructure, authentication, AI inference, payment processing, and analytics providers that we use to operate the Service. They process information only on our instructions.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zodiya, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy.
- With your consent. For any other purpose disclosed to you.
5. Data retention
Your account information and birth profiles are retained as long as your account is active. Predictions, daily readings, and chat history are retained for 7 days and then automatically deleted. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the Service.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Object to or restrict our processing.
- Receive a portable copy of your information.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

7. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Zodiya is operated from India, with infrastructure hosted in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to, and processing in, jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
